WHAT'S FLOTATION?

Who floats?

Flotation Therapy is a broad health tool that is used by many different types of people from all walks of life. Flotation effects benefit a spectrum of needs ranging from mental and physical health problems, to optimising physical recovery & mental skills, and everywhere in between.

The one thing that everyone who floats has in common is that they are working on becoming
‘the best version of themselves’

For Stress and Productivity

Business people wanting to find resilience to stress and optimise their productivity float regularly, building greater outcomes both for their bottom lines and in their service. Well known entrepreneur Tim Ferriss has written about Flotation in his book ‘tools of titans’ and Podcast host Joe Rogan is an avid Floater.

For health

We host those suffering from mental and physical ailments who often go through short, intensive float courses or use floating for short term relief. There have been a number of programmes to help understand the treatment of ailments, such as the ‘Fibromyalgia Float Project’, the work by Karlstaad University to understand stress treatment and the recent clinical trials on anxiety disorders run by Justin Feinstein.

For athletes

Elite athletes use Flotation before games to work on visualisation and after games to relieve muscle tension and aid recovery. NBA superstar Steph Curry, Premier League legend Wayne Rooney, as well as the Australian olympic team and the NFL Dallas Cowboys all have float regimes as part of their usual recovery.

For creativity

Professional creatives use Flotation to foster new ways of looking at old problems when they are stuck or to consistently build novel ideas. Beatles legend John Lennon, Nobel prize winner Richard Feynman and founder of apple Steve jobs have found great joy and creativity through their flotation experiences.
